We have chosen a craft that is fun and practical. Flip flop embellishment is our plan as we work with 50 students each on three afternoons. I have unearthed 80 pair of child-sized flip flops around town thus far and will finish the shopping in the next day or two. Along with the shoes, I have collected/purchased ribbons, buttons, small toys, balloons, flowers, etc. to glue on to the straps. One very large suitcase will hold these treasures when we fly down in one week!
Follow a 10 member team from Trinity School as we travel to Port-au-Prince March 6-13, 2011 during spring break. In Haiti, rebuilding the Good Shepherd School will be our primary concern.

Flip Flops
While in Haiti, we will serve at the Good Shepherd School in Pele. The school's enrollment is nearly 1,300 students, all of which are able to attend because of donations to Haiti Child Sponsorship. We will be involved in several projects during the week of our visit including re-building facilities and making crafts with the children in the afternoons.
